Progress is slow but steady
On Saturday, May 13th, vegetation management and drainage tending were observed on road areas not in the closed section. Even a section of the hillside was removed that had slowly encroached onto the roadway.
In the slide area, a lot of progress was observed on a runoff management system west of the slide. I’m not a Civil engineer, but if I were to guess, this will help prevent future slides but potentially help stabilize the current one.
